"The Cursed Muse” is the reintroduction of our exhausted hero from the previous two albums. Haunted by demons of the past, this sea-captain-turned-psychopomp contemplates their future: a lonesome eternity riddled with regret, resentment, and the crushing belief that they do not deserve happiness.

The single serves as an appetizer for the forthcoming epic new studio album from the band, due this fall. More details on that forthcoming in the weeks ahead. 

Seven Spires is an American metal quartet specializing in melancholic tales and tenebrous grandeur. Part bittersweet melodic metal anthems, part apocalyptic melodic death and black metal, and part Romantic Classical poets, they are storytellers who draw from across the traditional spectrum of metal and beyond to weave tragedies of demons, death, love, and the peculiarities of human condition. The band met while studying at the world renowned Berklee College of Music in Boston, so we need not spend much time going on about their musical capabilities, but needless to say, the band’s musicianship is in keeping with the metal tradition of tireless work to be the best at your craft. 

The band’s sophomore album, “Emerald Seas", released in February 2020, was a highly emotional, dark, and theatrical listening experience. The band, as with their debut, collaborated with Sascha Paeth (Avantasia, Kamelot, Epica, etc), who mixed and mastered the album.

Our tour with Insomnium and Omnium Gatherum was cancelled after just one show in Philadelphia. We lost significant band funds, personal investments, and the income we were counting on earning from this tour, which were all supposed to go towards covering the upfront costs of our next tour in August with Amaranthe and Battle Beast. 

We're trying our best to move forward from this loss and keep as positive of a mindset as possible, which means staying in touch with our fans and preparing for our next tour. 

Since we can't come to your city and play for you due to travel bans and restrictions on large gatherings, we'll spend the next months working as hard as we can to bring as much high quality content to you as we can. This includes live streams, playthrough videos, live singthroughs, perhaps even some lessons or tutorials for our songs, and anything else you might suggest!

These tips and donations will go directly towards our bottom line, which will help fund tour transportation, merch printing, etc.

Following a highly successful crowdfunding campaign and the release of their debut album “Solveig", Seven Spires performed live extensively in the U.S., Canada, and at festivals such as MetalDays, 70000tons of Metal, and ProgPower USA. They are in the final production stages of their second full length record, which will once again be mixed and mastered by Sascha Paeth (Avantasia, Kamelot, Epica, etc), and will be released later in 2019.
