Dylan Gowan - Drums

Growing up in a musical family, Dylan began his musical journey at 11. His diverse influences laid the foundation for his unique approach to drumming. He began playing in clubs throughout Toronto at 14 with many local artists and solo performers.

By 2010, Dylan established himself as a first call musician in the Toronto recording scene. As an in-demand player for live and session work, this led to his association with bands across many genres. In the summer of 2010, he embarked on his first cross-Canada tour at 17, which set the foundation for himself as a full-time touring musician.

In 2015, he competed in the Wacken Metal Battle, an international music competition with over 25 participating countries. Vesperia, his band at the time, was chosen out of 120 bands in Canada to be the country’s representative at the festival. Vesperia went on to emerge victorious from the battle, becoming the second Canadian band to win the competition.

In the fall of 2023, Seven Spires were in pursuit of a new drummer. They held a worldwide audition to find the right fit. After a rigorous assessment process, Dylan was selected to join the band's worldwide touring campaign in 2024, and became a permanent member of the band in the fall of that year.

Over the years, Dylan has worked with numerous bands and artists, gaining recognition for his high-energy performances and adaptability to different musical styles.

In his spare time, he enjoys long walks through the city, visiting new coffee shops, and watching hockey.
